Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and AJL Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17224608), which operates Royalti ("Royalti", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Royalti on iPhone or at web.royaltiapp.com, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Royalti. Questions: support@royaltiapp.com.

1. What Royalti is

Royalti helps people in music see their royalty income in one place. It finds royalty payments in your bank, reads the statements you send it, and shows what you've been paid, by whom and for what. It runs as an iPhone app and on desktop at web.royaltiapp.com, with one account across both.

2. Your account

If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use Royalti. Keep your sign-in details safe and turn on two-step verification where we offer it (it's required for Business accounts). You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at support@royaltiapp.com if you think someone else has used it.

3. Subscriptions and billing

4. Connecting your bank

Bank connections are read-only. Royalti can see transactions to find royalty payments, but it can never move money, and it never sees your bank login details.

You can disconnect a bank at any time in Settings. UK connections need renewing every 90 days, and the app will prompt you.

5. Statements you send us

You can forward statements to your private Royalti address, drag them into the app on desktop, or let the Royalti browser extension pull them from payer portals you sign in to. Royalti reads them automatically. When it isn't sure who a statement is from or what period it covers, it asks you to confirm before filing it. Royalty statements are complicated and payers' formats change, so check important figures against your original statements. Royalti is a guide to your income, not an official record of it.

6. Managers and artists

An artist can invite managers to see their Royalti data, and can remove a manager at any time in Settings. A manager can only see the artists who have connected with them. If you're a manager, you confirm you have your artists' permission to view and manage their royalty information on Royalti.

7. Rex, your personal royalty assistant

Rex answers questions about your own deals, payments, statements and documents. Its answers are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important before relying on it.

8. Not financial, legal or tax advice

Royalti is an information tool. Nothing in it is financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Speak to a qualified adviser about your agreements, tax and money decisions.

9. Your data and our use of it

You own your data. You allow us to store and process it only to run Royalti for you, as described in our Privacy Policy (royaltiapp.com/privacy). We may build fully anonymised industry statistics that can never be linked back to you or your account, as the Privacy Policy explains. We don't sell your data.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes everything in it: deals, statements, Catalogue data, Vault songs, documents and media, contracts and bank links, which we also revoke at Plaid or Yapily. Cancel any App Store subscription separately in your Apple ID settings.

11. Fair use

Don't misuse Royalti. That means:

We can suspend or close accounts that do, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.

12. Availability and changes

We work to keep Royalti running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Data from banks, payers and portals may be late or wrong. We'll keep improving Royalti, and features may change. If we make a significant change to these terms, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use Royalti as a consumer in the UK, you keep your statutory rights. Otherwise, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by inaccurate data from third parties (banks, payers, portals) or automated reading. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us for Royalti in that period.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in your local courts.
